Home of the
The Auckland Baseball Association Premier League is the top level of baseball in New Zealand. Howick-Pakuranga has a long history in Premier baseball – with strong teams playing each season.
Our Premier teams have coaches who expect very high levels of commitment and performance from players, including training and game day attendance.
All Premiers games have umpires and score keepers, and results are tracked on the MyBallClub scoring website.
Games
Premiers and Reserves games are mostly played on Sundays at the following fields:
Counties – Karaka Sports Complex
Lloyd Elsmore Park – No 1 diamond
Bayside Westhaven – Crossfield Domain
Central City – War Memorial Park, May Road, Mt Roskill
West City – McLeod Park, Te Atatu
Waitakere Bears – McLeod Park, Te Atatu
Hamilton Raiders – Resthills Park, Glenview, Hamilton
Gear
Premiers players are provided with a club jersey for games, which must be returned at the end of the season, and a hat they can keep.
Equipment
Players will need to provide the following equipment - see the guys at the Fieldhouse - 1/57 Ben Lomond Crescent, Pakuranga
Pants – white baseball pants
Glove – players will need their own baseball glove
Shoes – most players wear Baseball cleats.
All other gear is provided by the club, including bats (wood only), batting helmets, catchers gear, balls etc.
